Direct Communication
Say the true thing, to the right person, the first time. On the floor and at the front desk — no spin, no passive aggression.
File 01 — The House
David and Victoria's privately owned strength facility. This file is the whole story — who built it, what it stands for, and the people holding the standard.
David is a lifter who got tired of training rooms that treated strength like a side effect. In 2019 he signed a lease on Saviers Road, painted the machine frames red, and opened a house for people who train on purpose.
Victoria runs the front of it. She learns your name on day one, your meet date by week two, and exactly how your last attempt went before you've finished unloading the bar.
It's a family operation top to bottom: two kids, weekends, holidays, 2 a.m. equipment fixes. And yes — they love their dogs. Ask David about them at the front desk and budget an extra twenty minutes.
The thesis was simple: lifters in Ventura County deserved a serious room. Not a cardio warehouse with a squat rack in the corner — a purpose-built strength facility where the equipment, the atmosphere and the people all hold the same standard.
Every machine frame in the building is custom red. The platforms read RESPECT and RERACK — house rules, painted where you can't miss them. The red turf runway runs straight down the middle of the floor like a runway light, because that's exactly what it is.
Years later the thesis hasn't moved: one posted rate, no contract. We earn it monthly.
One site, one landlord, one idea: Oxnard gets a strength room that means it.
Deadlift days, meet-prep groups, first-timers adopted at the front desk. The culture stops being a plan and starts being a habit.
Same family, same standard, new zip code — 301 Arneill Rd. One membership works at both houses.
Two houses, one standard, still answered by a human. The rest of this file is the proof.
Mission — Verbatim
“Our mission at House of Gains Gym is to provide the best experience for our guests whether it's through our exceptional equipment, amazing atmosphere or great customer service.”
Protocol Documentation
Say the true thing, to the right person, the first time. On the floor and at the front desk — no spin, no passive aggression.
One price, posted. No hidden fees, no fine print, no surprise charges. The same honesty applies to coaching feedback.
PRs are built on warm-ups, sleep, and the sets nobody films. We respect the unglamorous reps — in training and in business.
We know our members' names, their lifts and their goals. Community events aren't marketing — they're the point.
Staff rerack. Staff wipe down. Staff train. The platforms say RESPECT because everyone here — owner included — shows it.
Missed lifts are data. Failed attempts are tuition. We treat every shortfall as the start of the next training block.
Members hold each other accountable. Staff hold the facility accountable. Ownership answers to both. No exceptions by rank.
Show up like the result matters, because it does. Whether it's a first pull-up or a state record — we compete with yesterday.
The real roster, both houses — crew floats between sites by schedule. Book one-on-one sessions at the front desk.

Flagship crew at Saviers Rd — one of the people who make a serious room feel like the house instead of a warehouse.
THE CREW — SITE 01
Oxnard crew — on the floor most days, holding the standard the platforms spell out in white paint.
THE CREW — SITE 01
Site 01 crew — proof the house rule about learning your name on day one isn't a marketing line.
THE CREW — SITE 01
Official title, not a nickname. Every house needs the one person who checks on you before your warm-up sets do — here, that's Tamah.
GYM MOM — OFFICIAL TITLE
Arneill Rd crew — the second house runs on the flagship's standard, and he's part of the reason it holds.
THE CREW — SITE 02
Part of the Arneill Rd crew — first names, honest answers, and a room that stays serious without going cold.
THE CREW — SITE 02
Site 02 crew, HOGG cap included. If the floor is in order at Arneill Rd — and it is — the crew did that.
THE CREW — SITE 02
House of Gains crew — the shirt says EST. MMXIX, the lease says the same. Both houses, one standard.

The House — File Ends
Tours are usually given by someone whose name is on the lease. Fifteen minutes on the floor and you'll know if this is your house.
